Fifth Generation
I have left the 5th Generation off for the time being.
MY NOTES:- First Generation - I believe Dr Robertson has this key initial part wrong !
John Flack Sr. definately existed - he married (1) Jane Porter and (2) Mary McMurry (McMurray) and they did live in Rutherford County, North Carolina. Between his 2 wives he had at least 7 children, one of them being a son John Flack (by his 2nd wife Mary).
But I believe this son John was born abt 1781 In Rutherford County and is NOT the John Flack that married Sarah Milligan from Iredell County and went to Perry County, Illinois.
I believe the John Flack who married Sarah Milligan was born in Iredell County, North Carolina and he lived next door to Sarah's brother Fergus Milligan.
All my reasoning and alternative sources are on other pages, but I thought it wise to put this note here to show I disagree with Dr Robertson's initial findings.
John Flack b.abt 1781 - son of John Flack Sr. and Mary McMurry, Rutherford County, North Carolina
John Flack b.abt 1774 and Sarah Milligan - John Flack son of Michael Flack, Iredell County, North Carolina.
