Forest Grove, June 24. - W. Watson Flack, Doylestown, was re-elected president
at the 36th annual reunion of the Flack family yesterday at the Presbyterian
church here.
Other people named at the gathering attended by 51 persons from Phila, Virginia,
New Jersey, Langhorne, Schwenksville, Somerton and nearby communities were as
follows:
first vice president, Elbert W Halderman, Doylestown:
second vice president, Mrs A Paul Lake, New Britain:
recording secretary, Edith Stow, Langhorne:
corresponding secretary, Mrs Charles A Liebig, Doylestown: and
treasurer, Miss Grace Duckworth, also of Doylestown.
Awards were presented to James G Mann, Schwenksville, R.D, the oldest man present:
Mis M Emma Flack, 84, Doylestown, oldest woman in attendance;
Mr & Mrs Chester Flack, Arlington Virginia, who came the greatest distance:
Mr & Mrs Alban Flack, Phila, whose family was the most largest represented:
Kenneth Stocker, Somerton, the youngest person present.
Tribute was paid to Mrs Mary Mitchener, who served as treasurer of the association
from the time it was formed until the reunions were temporarily discontinued
in 1941. Mrs Mitchener died during the past year.
Picnic dinner and supper were served. Mrs Mildred Stow conducted a memorial
service for four members of the family who died during the last year. She also
reported one birth and 3 marriages.
The program consisted of a duet by Francis and Kenneth Stocker: Vocal solos,
Miriam Stow and Kathleen Haldeman; Group singing: Humerous skit, "The mean
old King": and a duet, Miriam Stow and Kenneth Stocker.
The supper was followed by games. The group decided to hold the next reunion
in June 1952.
