Flack Family Tree's - North Carolina.
The best way to search for a specific named person, is of course, to use the general search facility for the main website database. But to try and provide a quick access point, here is short list of the main Flack families that have their American starting point in Pennsylvania.
The birthplace of Thomas is currently unknown, but both Thomas and wife Jane died in Guilford County. Thomas and Jane McCuistion had 8 children, some of whom stayed in Guilfrod County while others moved on to Kentucky and Tennessee.
Their children were: James Elone, Hannah, Elisha, Elijah, Thomas, Andrew Lambert, Jenny and Dorcus.
John Flack (thought to be the son of Michael Flack) and Sarah Milligan start in Iredell, Rutherford County, but in abt 1799 they leave NC and relocate in Perry County, Illinois, before finally relocating abt. 1830 in Galena, Jo Daviess County, Illinois.
Their children were: Sarah, Elizabeth, Abner, James D, John B, Milton and George Washington Flack.
John Flack is 1st seen in Rutherford County with wife Mary Porter. They have 4 children:- Hannah, Andrew, Jency and George Porter Flack
John then marries Mary McMurray and has 3 further children:- John, William and Mary Flack.
I believe that most people wrongly try and attach John Flack (Tree656J above) and Sarah Milligan to this family tree - but you make your own mind up !
Lawson Edwin Flack (1810-1865) is shown in the census as being born in North Carolina. He probably links into one of the main Flack families above, but I haven't found that elusive link yet.
In 1840 he is living in Macoupin County, Illinois and in 1850 onwards in Madison County, Illinois. He is married to Lydia Simons and they have 6 known children:- Martha Ann, William, John S, Mary J, Edward and Thomas W Flack.
Kentucky
Strays - William Flack (1793-1870+) born North Carolina - alone in KY at
the end.
Jim Flack - 4 Apr 2011
